Office of the University Counsel

Mission

The mission of the Office of the University Counsel is to provide a complete range of quality legal services to Middle Tennessee State University, in conjunction with the Board of Trustees, in an efficient, reliable and professional manner.

This requires constant internal contact with persons at all levels of administration of the University, including the University President, Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors, and Budget Heads, as well as with the Board of Trustees.

In carrying out this Mission, the office will provide advice, education, counsel, and representation on matters involving laws, rules, and policies applicable to the University.
